Subtitling - Broadcast

The following FAB Subtitling products were designed for use in TV stations for broadcast applications:

SUBTITLE TRANSMISSION CONTROLLLED BY AUTOMATION

FAB Subtitler BCAST and FAB Subtitler XCD are used for automatic transmission of subtitles controlled by an automation system (i.e. Imagine/Harris, SGT, Aveco, Etere, Pebble Beach...) or by VPS/PDC signal. Both systems can also be used for conversion of subtitles received from SDI and network sources to different output formats (DVB/Teletext/Open/CEA-608/CEA-708) in real time.

TRANSMISSION OF SUBTITLES OVER ASI AND IP

FAB DVB Interface receives subtitles over network from FAB Subtitler BCAST/XCD and transmits DVB and Teletext subtitles over TS/ASI or TS/IP.

TRANSMISSION OF TELETEXT SUBTITLES

FAB Teletext Subtitle Generator receives subtitles over network from FAB Subtitler BCAST/XCD and transmits teletext subtitles over TS/ASI or TS/IP or inserts them into SDI.

INSERTION OF TELETEXT SUBTITLES AND CLOSED CAPTIONS CEA-608/708 INTO SDI

FAB PCIe Card can be used for insertion of teletext subtitles and closed captions CEA-608/708 into SD/HD-SDI signal. The card can also read data from SDI, for example ATC/VITC timecode, VANC/VBI teletext and VPS/PDC.

SUBTITLE DATABASE

FAB Subtitle Database is used for organized storage of subtitle files in a database and for organization of workflow for preparation of subtitles.
