CSV File Format This section describes the file format for the TV programme information that can be imported into FAB TV Guide Editor. The file format CSV should preferably be used for exchange of TV programme data. The advantage of the CSV Format is that it is expandable and it is supported by other applications as well. Each CSV file contains programme schedule data for a certain amount of time. Normally each day should be stored in a separate CSV file, however also one file per month or any other logical arrangement is supported. All filenames should be according to the following convention (however the filenames can be different as well, this filename structure is not obligatory): CCCCMMTT.csv Each CSV file should be stored in a "Text delimited" format, all texts should be stored in the current Windows codepage (1252, 1250, ...). Each programme should be stored into a separate line into the CSV file. Each line contains more fields which are separated by the TAB character (ASCII #9). The end of each line should contain CR LF. Each line and each field can be as long as required. There is no limitation regarding the length of texts. To force a line break within the text the text must contain the character ~ (ASCII #126) on the line break position. When exporting to teletext pages the text will be broken into a new line at that position. The new line will start at the same column as the line before. The following list defines fields that should be present in the CSV file:
