Subtitling
- Production
FAB Subtitler Standard Edition
FAB Subtitler Standard Edition is a software package for PC that can be used for
preparation of subtitle files. A subtitle file contains texts and IN and OUT timecodes for every subtitle.
All languages supported by Windows are supported by FAB Subtitler incl. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, Arabic, Cyrillic, Greek and more.
There are two possible ways to create subtitles with timecode
1. Using a
video file that contains timecode
In this configuration only a regular PC without any special hardware is
required. The video file can contain timecode visible in the picture (when
encoded by FAB Subtitler) or timecode encoded in the video file (when
encoded by FAB Media Encoder or FAB Media Converter).

2. Using
a tape (VHS, Digibeta, IMX or other) with timecode
In this configuration the PC has to be equipped with a timecode reader
card and a video in a window card

FAB Subtitler is a Windows application supporting powerful editing features
known from Microsoft Word (i.e. spell check, formatting, undo) combined
with special subtitling functions that are required for fast and
